You’re probably wondering where the name comes from, as it certainly doesn’t sound Alpine. It means “sleep” in one of the national languages of Namibia. I, your host Nina Flachberger-Schultes, am a native Namibian with ties to Austria. For 5 years I live with my husband in Kaprun and we have fulfilled a dream with the house Kulala. Here, typical alpine architectural style meets a touch of Africa.

Due to the central location, just 300m from the ski lift, we are the ideal starting point for your summer and winter holidays in Zell am See – Kaprun in the beautiful Salzburger Land. In winter we enjoy 100% snow guarantee at the Kitzsteinhorn and countless surrounding slopes, which invite not only skiers & snowboarders but also ski tourers.
In summer, the Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn cable cars offer the perfect access to the fantastic hiking and biking region. Whether you prefer to be active or appreciate relaxation more, Kaprun offers something for everyone.
